Dr. Pope earned degrees in both clinical psychology and biological sciences from The Ohio State University. He then earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the OSU College of Dentistry. After graduation, he taught at the OSU College of Dentistry and then earned his specialty degree in Orthodontics at Northwestern University. He received his American Board of Orthodontics certification in 1986.
Dr. Pope is a member of The American Dental Association, The Ohio Dental Association, and The Dayton Dental Society. He has been honored with membership into the distinguished American College of Dentists, The International College of Dentists and is a Diplomate of The American Board of Orthodontics. Additionally, Dr. Pope is a past president of The Ohio Dental Association, The Dayton Dental Society and The Kettering Rotary Club. Dr. Pope is involved in many other community and professional activities.
Dr. Pope and his wife, Marilyn, have enjoyed being in the Dayton Community for many years. They have 3 children, two daughters and a son. Dr. Pope enjoys fly fishing, woodworking, dental politics and outdoor activities.
